    The position of Customer Service Coordinator seeks to enhance the experience at the Gerhards Kitchen & Bath Store in a manner that surprises and delights the consumer and creates a gracious experience that exceeds practical need.


    • Coordinate product orders subsequent to product quotation and order entry stages - including procurement from vendors when required, tracking vendor purchase orders, scheduling product delivery by First Supply or third party services and communicating order status to the sales associated and/or customer as necessary
    • Conduct customer follow-up as necessary to address customer issues, assess customer satisfaction and promote new or additional sales of products and services
    • Maintenance of in-store product displays and samples - including verifying product inventory levels on a minimum monthly basis and placing replenishment orders as well as conducting periodic inventory as required by the First Supply finance department
    • Maintain select client base as dictated by store business needs
    • Perform essential design functions including but not limited to product selections and quotations, product placement recommendations, and drawings and renderings as dictated by store business needs
    • Deliver exceptional service in a manner that meets Gerhards Store and First Supply profit objectives including but not limited to minimizing delivery costs, minimizing rate of returned products outside of manufacturer defects, maximizing gross profit by supporting store sales growth
    • Other duties/responsibilities as assigned by the Gerhard's Kitchen & Bath Store Manager



    • Experience in customer service or sales environment required
    • Knowledge of building industry and materials required
    • Computer knowledge and skills with the ability to learn First Supply's business system
    • Flexible scheduling with the ability to work some evenings and weekends as determined by the Gerhards Store Manager according to the set employment schedule published with reasonable notice
    • Possess critical thinking skills with the ability to evaluate and utilize information including but not limited to customer preferences, vendor information, company capabilities, and design aesthetics
    • Ability to communicate information and ideas effectively with vendors, customers and internally by telephone, email, and in person
    • Ability to read, speak, understand, and write English
    • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure
